If you have not signed up for Flash Alert, please do so ASAP. If you have signed up in the past for this free service you may want to make sure everything is the same. With the winter season approaching we need everyone to get signed up. If you don't have access to the internet at home you can come to the school to use one of our computers to get added to this system. It is free of charge to sign up for this system. Please notify one of the school offices when and if you have signed up for this system.

Welcome
We would like to welcome you to Ector Independent School District's Web Page. Our school consists of approximately 252 students on a PK-12 campus.
New Release Time
Starting Monday, April 30th we will release at 3:00. Parents be sure to be here at 3:00. Buses will run shortly after 3:00. If you can't be here that early to pick up your child please make other arrangements.
Kindergarten Registration for 2012- 2013 School Year
Ector Independent School District held it's annual Kindergarten registration for the 2012 - 2013 school year on April 18th at 8:30 in the Elementary Building. If you missed this meeting it isn't too late to register your child. Your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2012 in order to participate in next years Kindergarten program. Parents will need to bring copies of their child's birth certificate, social security card, and shot records (copies of these documents can be made in the office). If you are unable to attend be sure to call the school for registration details. If you have any questions please contact Sherry Wilthers or Jason Jones at (903)-961-2355.
Pre-Kindergarten Registration
Ector Independent School District held its annual pre-kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 school year on Feb. 23rd and Feb. 24th. If you missed these dates it isn't too late. Children must be four years old on or before September 1, 2012 in order to participate in next year’s pre-kindergarten program. Parents will need to bring copies of their child’s birth certificate, social security card, and shot records (copies of these documents can be made in the office if necessary). Jr Beta Club
The Ector Junior Beta Club at Ector ISD is proud to announce that Emma Harris, daughter of John and Dana Harris of Ector, has been elected as Chaplain for the Texas Junior Beta Club in Austin, Texas at its annual convention. Emma will be running for The National Junior Beta Club Chaplain in June at Greensboro, North Carolina. Club members attending the state convention and campaigning for Emma were Miranda Jones, Payton Anderson, Taylor Merworth, Karen Nino, Ethan Norwood, Bryce Reid, Lorielen Rosenbaum, Ryan Wilder, Maggie Crouch, and Ryan Ellison. Their sponsors are Rhonda Caylor and Jason Jones. The National Beta Club is a service organization with emphasis on academics and character.
Jr Beta Fundraiser
Ector Junior Beta will be having a Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction on May 19th from 4-8pm in the Ector ISD Cafeteria. The money will go towards the cost for Emma Harris and the other members to compete for a National Chaplain Office at the National Convention in North Carolina. It is costly to attend so please come out and support these students as they try to reach their goal.
Box Tops for Education
Our students are collecting "Box Tops For Education" again this year. So keep saving those tops. We will take them at any point during the school year. Our students appreciate your help in collecting them to send into General Mills.
IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER
If you have not signed up for the "Flash Alert" system you can listen to KFYN radio station, or watch KTEN channel 10, WFAA channel 8, or NBC5. If you do want to sign up and haven't yet you can call the school 903-961-2355 and we will help you get signed up for this helpful system.
