Recognized for Achievement

 

            The Texas Business and Education Coalition (TBEC) recently recognized Ector Elementary for their academic achievement over the last three-year period. This partnership between the business community and Texas schools helps to highlight educational success within the state. This year only five percent of the more than 7,900 schools in the state were recognized. Congratulations faculty and students.

Ector Elementary Holds D.A.R.E. Graduation

 

            The staff and administration of Ector ISD would like to congratulate our 2007-2008 D.A.R.E. graduates. Every year the school’s fifth graders participate in this drug abuse and awareness program. We would also like to thank Chief Mike Stephens of the Ector Police Department for taking on the role as the county D.A.R.E. officer. This year’s graduates are Amber Atkinson, Cloudi Burnett-Bland, Elizabeth Essary, Trent Jones, Jacy Martin, Elena Nino, Ariane Rushing, Juan Salazar, Tyler Self, Nathan Thomason, and Johnathon Whitlock. Chief Stephens was assisted this year by teacher LeAnn Sellers and sign interpreter Laura Skinner. Congratulations students.
